G Pen Gio Cookies guide: pods, battery and lights

Everything you need to know about the G Pen Gio Cookies setup: how the battery works, how to charge it, and the three CBD pods we stock.

G Pen Gio Cookies battery with Cereal Milk, Gelatti and London Pound Cake pods

The G Pen Gio Cookies setup is a two-part kit: the Cookies G Pen Gio Battery at $20 and a Cookies CBD Gio pod at $20. The pods push into the top of the battery. There’s no thread, no button and no voltage to set.

How the G Pen Gio Cookies battery works

G Pen built a temperature sensor into the Gio battery. It keeps each draw at the same heat, so the flavor doesn’t drift as the pod empties. You draw, the battery fires. That’s it.

Because the fitting is proprietary, regular 510 carts won’t go on it, and Gio pods won’t fit a 510 battery. If you own a 510 battery already, the 510 carts may suit you better.

The three G Pen Gio Cookies pods

Each pod holds 175mg of hemp-derived CBD, 25mg more than our 510 carts, at the same price. All three carry a terpene profile inspired by a Cookies strain.

Charging the G Pen Gio Cookies battery

  1. Plug the micro USB cable into a computer port or a basic wall adapter.
  2. Leave it until the light shows full.
  3. Unplug it. Don’t leave it charging overnight.

Skip fast phone chargers. They push more current than a small vape battery needs. And keep the battery out of hot cars, which shortens its life.

Fixing a pod that will not fire

If the light flashes and nothing happens, pull the pod out and look at the contacts. Wipe them with a dry cotton bud and push the pod back in until it seats. If the battery is low, charge it. If a brand-new pod still won’t fire on a charged battery, email us, because that counts as faulty under our 90-day returns.

Cold pods can feel blocked too. Warm it in your hand for a minute before you draw. More fixes are in our Cookies cart battery guide.

Is the G Pen Gio Cookies kit worth it?

If you’re new to carts and don’t own a battery, yes. The total is $40 for the battery and one pod, and you never have to think about voltage. If you already have a 510 battery, stick with the 510 carts. Shipping is free on every order, and code yummycookies# takes 15% off.

G Pen Gio Cookies pods vs 510 carts

Both cost $20. The Gio pod holds 175mg of hemp CBD against 150mg in a 510 cart, and the Gio battery manages the heat for you. A 510 cart is the better choice if you already own a battery you like, or if you want to use carts from other brands on the same device.

If you’re buying your first setup, the Gio is the more forgiving kit. There’s no voltage to get wrong and no threads to overtighten. The trade-off is that you’re tied to Gio pods, so check that the flavors suit you before you commit. Right now we stock Cereal Milk, Gelatti and London Pound Cake in the Gio fitting.

Travelling with it? Take the pod out of the battery and keep both upright in a pocket. Pressure and heat changes are what usually make pods leak.
